We have successfully begun this Program with the first candidate OLUCHI BLESSING EMMANUEL-GILBERT a Female from Nigeria enrolling at Hogskolan Gavle since 2021 and studies ongoing till date
2. SPONSORSHIP OF POP TECH ACTIVITIES
PopUp Tech a driven team of technology advocates based in Sweden and South Africa whose mission is building a collection of technologies and sharing them amongst schools for a period of time. The schools involved in the project will receive technologies and workshop materials to use for teaching and inspiring students in Sub-Saharan Africa
The Popup Tech team consists of women within the technology industry and stands for inclusion. Tshepiso Lehutjo, the founder, is a South African living in Sweden and aspiring developer while Ofentse Langa, a South African is the project manager for the project and lastly is Helena Wielding, a Swedish professional and currently managing director of an organisation that hosts workshops for increased diversity in the tech industry.
Their first technology in the collection is edtech devices used to learn python programming language in a fun and interactive way. The technology is from Swedish start-up Imagilabs - https://imagilabs.com/
This project will be run with 8-9 schools in disadvantaged communities in South Africa from May 2022 - August 2022.
